MEET SCOTTY

I'm thrilled to be running for Newton County Commissioner in District 4. Shelley and I currently live in Clark's Grove. We've been married for 35 years and have two adult children both of whom live in Covington and two grandchildren with another one on the way!

We own a travel agency together, but I'm also a technology/product manager at Bill.com and my wife Shelley is the director of and teacher at a kindergarten and preschool. We are members at Covington First United Methodist Church.

I run/walk in and around Covington 4 to 6 days a week and love it!  I'm also a volunteer for Newton Trails and we've raised over $40,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society over the last few years.

I am running for County Commissioner to improve our quality of life, and to bring our district up to the same standard as all the others. The growth in this county is not just for those who have been deemed to be “in the right neighborhoods”, it is for all of us. I promise to do everything within my power to level the playing field and to have a positive impact on our community.
